Largest single building deployment of AirThings sensors at Legal and General Group’s London HQ, One Coleman Street
Demand Logic announces a significant milestone in the realm of building management with the largest-ever single deployment of AirThings devices for a UK building at One Coleman Street, Legal & General Group’s London HQ.
One Coleman Street trialled 8 devices on one floor in December 2023, before scaling up to install across the remaining floors with an additional 104 devices at the start of April 2024. The AirThings devices were deployed to monitor crucial environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, VOCs, and Particulate Matter.
The data collected by the devices will be seamlessly integrated onto the Demand Logic platform, providing immediate access to actionable insights. Following a 7-day calibration period, the sensors will transition into continual monitoring mode, contributing to the development of the Demand Logic Comfort Score, a comprehensive metric for assessing occupant comfort levels, as well as highlighting areas of concern.
By harnessing cutting-edge technology, One Coleman Street aims to optimise occupant comfort, enhance air quality, and ultimately foster a healthier indoor environment for their building users.
Michael Hinton, Workplace Asset and Infrastructure Manager, Legal & General, said "I'm excited about the implementation of air quality sensors and the technological progress they represent for our workplace. These advancements not only promote a healthier environment but also showcase our dedication to utilising state-of-the-art technology for the welfare and efficiency of our team"
Nicola Fagan, Head of Environment,Legal & General, added “These developments are a significant positive step in helping us manage & reduce our environmental impact, demonstrating our commitment to safeguarding the planet for future generations, alongside meeting our long term environment targets and net zero ambition”.
This deployment serves as a cornerstone for Demand Logic as they prepare for a larger rollout across Legal & General Group’s corporate office estate, which will encompass further IAQ installations as well as integrating their market leading Insight and Optimise Platform to Legal & General Group’s Building Management Systems (BMS), Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) optimisation.
“A deployment of IAQ devices of this scale, is a huge achievement for our team and emphasises the impact that our diverse set of solutions can provide when working with industry leading companies such as Legal & General Group”, said William Hulls, Chief Revenue Officer, Demand Logic. “We are delighted with the initial results we are seeing and the impact this can have at One Coleman Street, as well as across the wider portfolio.”
