Award-winning UK-based PropTech company, Demand Logic, has announced that they will be exhibiting at CREtech New York, the world's largest real estate innovation and sustainability conference, on 19th - 20th September 2023 at the Javits Center. Delegates will get a chance to learn first-hand how to reduce costs and energy across their portfolios with an ROI of less than 9 months from the Demand Logic team at Booth 251.
CEO and Co-Founder Mike Darby, Chief Revenue Officer William Hulls and Strategic Partnerships Manager Geoff Parsons will represent the team at the event and will connect with global Asset Managers, Facilities Managers and Property Managers. Their leading ESG solution helps to record and identify opportunities to optimize building portfolio performance to reduce emissions and costs and support requirements for decarbonization in commercial real estate; having identified over 97,000 tonnes of annual carbon savings. Partners benefitting from the solution which has led to over $30million cost avoidance per year include Grosvenor, Legal and General, Avison Young, Cushman & Wakefield, Hines and CBRE among others.
This comes ahead of the adoption of further changes to regulations across the nation; including Local Law 97 in New York, considered one of the most ambitious plans for reducing carbon emissions in the US. In 2024, most New York buildings over 25,000 sq ft will be required to meet new energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions limits, with further regulations coming in 2030. Those that fail to comply will receive annual penalties at a rate of $268 for each ton of emissions exceeding the limit.
Upon their involvement at the event, Mike Darby, said:
“Across the world, technology is now seen as an imperative in the race to net zero and decarbonization. CREtech New York will allow us to showcase and explain the benefits of our solution to a new market, including how it helps reduce operational emissions and costs and avoid strict penalties of tightening building regulations. This is a key part of our plans as a business; to provide our solution to, and support optimization and decarbonization of, a global portfolio in the near future.”
Michael Beckerman, CEO at CREtech, added:
"I am thrilled Demand Logic, one of the leading technology platforms helping to decarbonize the Built Environment, will be featured in the Expo Hall at our upcoming CREtech New York conference. Demand Logic is making a significant impact on helping real estate companies and investors lower their operating carbon emissions. With the Built Environment responsible for 40% of all carbon emissions globally, it’s solutions like Demand Logic that are paving the way towards a more sustainable and healthier planet for future generations.”
Over the two days, more than 2,500 delegates, including global buyers and decision-makers, will attend the showcase. Demand Logic’s participation in the conference follows their involvement at CREtech London earlier this year.
