Demand Logic welcomes new BMS Data Analyst, Daniel Hickman

Demand Logic is delighted to welcome Daniel Hickman into the team as our new BMS Data Analyst. Daniel will bridge the gap between a site's BMS and the company's data model, helping to highlight where customers can save energy, money, and carbon. He is excited to demonstrate how relatively simple changes and repairs can have a significant impact on a building's running costs and carbon footprint.

Daniel has a diverse background in heating and ventilation systems, control strategies, and electronics repair. For the past five years, he has been writing control strategies for major NHS controls upgrade projects, commissioning newly built control panels, and providing post-commissioning servicing and optimisation. He also carried out routine PPM and emergency repairs on the Andover BMS, as well as repairing electronics.

Looking to the future, Daniel hopes to see true consensus among world leaders to combat climate change. He envisions a world where power generation systems shift towards renewable energy sources, supported by investment in energy storage systems and grid infrastructure, and a change in consumer attitudes.

Daniel said:

“I was impressed by the company's innovation and software, which helps customers appreciate how small changes in building maintenance and BMS configuration can make a massive difference over a relatively short period of time. Demand Logic's approach of saving the world's energy aligns perfectly with my own values to help create a sustainable future.”

Demand Logic CEO Mike Darby said:

“Having worked in heating and ventilation systems installation, repair, and servicing for both domestic and non-domestic environments, Daniel brings valuable experience to Demand Logic. We all feel that his background in sustainability and energy-saving makes him the perfect addition to the Demand Logic team, and we’re looking forward to working with him.”

In his spare time, Daniel enjoys making a range of things, from a forced draught forge/furnace to a quadcopter to a cider press. He also likes nurturing his apple and bonsai trees, spending time in the woods with his dogs, and maintaining his 1996 Suzuki GSXR SRAD 750.
