Demand Logic welcomes Morten Bjornen-Jernside as new Business Development Manager

Demand Logic is delighted to announce that Morten Bjornen-Jernside has joined the team as our new Business Development Manager. In this newly created role, Morten will use his 30 years of business development experience with our customers, helping them understand the challenges and gaps in their approach to running sustainable buildings.

Before joining Demand Logic, Morten started his career as a graduate at Channel 4 before leaving in 2013 when he then set up his own production and media company. Here, he produced the genre-defining golf show, Golf Juice, before moving on to work with Royal Mail, connecting their commercial arm with media agencies. Morten became familiar with Demand Logic through his last role with Norwegian Indoor Air Quality company, Airthings. Running the B2B sales department for Airthings, Morten connected with Demand Logic as a key customer to improve building and people’s health, and improve efficiency and costs which facilitated his seamless move into this new role.

In the future, Morten wants to see governments and businesses being held to account, enforcing it so that they take steps toward climate goals as they are the drivers of change and can make a genuine difference. As a father of three, he believes that the disregard for the planet is something that needs to stop before it is too late. He also thinks that normalising all steps toward climate change will mean there will be less pushback against it in the future.

Commenting on his new position, Morten said:

“As I progressed through my career, my motivations have pivoted from purely a monetary one to something that makes a difference and means something. I wanted something to focus on that I knew would make a difference, even in a small way.

“The feeling that I am at least contributing to the environmental changes that we need to make now so that my children and future generations do not pay the price is a huge motivating factor in choosing to work for a forward-thinking, innovative and passionate company such as Demand Logic. Those working in the business are true champions of sustainability in their actions, which makes it a fantastic role and one I am looking forward to making my own.”

Demand Logic CEO Mike Darby said:

“Morten’s drive and passion for a more sustainable future is exactly the attitude we need on our teams at Demand Logic. Having worked with us in a B2B capacity before, we’re certain that Morten’s understanding of the business and belief in what we do makes him the perfect person to head up our business development.”
