Meet the team: Jolly Pradhanang

Jolly Pradhanang, Building Performance Analyst at Demand Logic

In this series we will be asking our team a few fun and serious questions!

In part to celebrate International Women's day, but also to highlight a valuable member of our team, we spoke to Jolly Pradhanang, Building Performance Analyst.

1. Cosy night in or a big night out (obviously post-lockdown!)?

Well, life with parental responsibility means that for me the most appealing one is a cosy night in, with an entertaining animation or fantasy movie watched together with my family.

2. What is your favourite holiday destination and why?

Kathmandu and Spain are my favourite ones. Kathmandu is my hometown, so meeting family, going to temples, the good weather and walking around the area means that I feel refreshed and rekindled, sustaining me for when I return to my hectic life in London! Spain just brings me warm thoughts, it is such a beautiful country and I love its energy!

3. What film have you watched over the last year that you recommend everyone should watch?

I’ve watched a few old movies in the last year like Gladiator, Forest Gump, Shrek, Jurassic Park and so many more… I enjoy sci-fi and adventure movies. If you are a fan of fantasy then rewind and watch it all again!

4. What made you join Demand Logic?

I was looking for a role with an emphasis on creating sustainable buildings using tech and energy management, it was this that initially drew me to join DL. In addition, this role also enhances technical knowledge of HVAC and BMS, which is a bonus for career growth for anyone with a versatile engineering background and who is driven to serve the energy industry.

5. Where do you think the world will be in 2030?

Being nostalgic, I remember being asked to write an essay on how technologies and environmental pollution would make a difference to our lives during the 90s. We can now see how the world has emerged from mobile to virtual platforms but also how global pollution has escalated. In 2030 I think the world will be more open and less private due to new technological shifts and I think that the climate crisis will continue to change our planet. I hope that humans will be more alert to making the world cleaner by transforming grids, roads and building to zero carbon.

Thank you Jolly!
