Data, technology, and carbon reduction - Mike Darby to offer his insight on the latest trends at the RICS Strategic facility management conference

Our Co-Founder and CEO, Mike Darby, is contributing to the forthcoming Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Strategic Facilities Management conference on 16th June 2020 with a renewed focus and vision to capture the future of the sector – what really is to come for FM in the twenties?

Mike’s talk, ‘The power of technology in real estate’, will provide insight on how the correct use of data can improve property performance and support new revenue streams and will share how technology supports the ambition of net zero carbon targets. This year, due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the event is online only with a series of webinars running from 8:30am-5:00pm.

The conference is a highlight for the property industry counting as formal continued professional development (CPD) training and featuring industry leaders providing insight into  how the sector is changing and evolving. Other speakers include Simon Rubinsohn, Chief Economist at RICS, So Young Hyun, Workplace Experience Lead at Sodexo, Nicholas Caton, Commercial Director of Corporate Real Estate at Barclays, and Paul Bagust, Global Property Standards Director at RICS.

Mike will be sharing key insights on how data can be used to benchmark and improve building performance, based on Demand Logic’s evidence of reducing carbon and energy consumption by up to 30% in clients buildings. His talk, starting at 11:30am, includes ideas on how to score buildings for their environmental and operational achievements through a Benchmarking Operational Performance (BOP) score.

Don’t miss out - sign up to the webinar to get ahead of the game.
