  • Award recognises Demand Logic’s ‘fitbit for buildings’ IoT technology
  • Their data analytics service helps increase the productivity of tenants as well as the building management team

Last night, Tuesday 10th July 2018, Demand Logic celebrated a triumphant win at the EG Tech awards, where they won the Productivity Award for the best use of technology to improve productivity in buildings. The ceremony, which was held at The Brewery in Central London, celebrates businesses enabling the digital move into ‘a new real estate frontier,’ through innovation, investment, and technological progression.

Judges consideration took into account four elements: Instant Hit; Freshness; Belief and The Solution. The panel were impressed with how Demand Logic very quickly makes use of existing building data:

“Our winner in this category has been really smart in the way that it has brought many components of a building’s management systems together to better understand a building. It is a product that not only makes a building better, it makes it buffer.”

Commenting on the win, Demand Logic CEO, Mike Darby, said:

“These first EG Awards really rocked and we were pleasantly surprised to receive this fantastic accolade. We are really delighted to have won and be recognised in the Productivity category by this panel of judges from the property and tech sectors. We know that our advanced technology makes a quick and sustained difference, for the better, on buildings performance for the building occupiers as well as the building management. This award validates that our service is now much broader than energy performance. The win spurs the whole team on to achieve our collective ambition to simplify property performance for everyone.”

Demand Logic have already scored three awards in the past 12 months alone, including BCIA’s Technology of the Year award, and BusinessGreen’s Building Technology of the Year 2017. The ‘fitbit for buildings’ is used across more than 16 million square foot of property by customers including TH Real Estate, CBRE, LandSec, JLL and The Crown Estate.

Demand Logic’s service offers building and facility managers access to detailed property performance information, proven to reduce maintenance times and improve effectiveness, reduce comfort complaints, and cut energy costs by up to 30%.
