A hat trick of shortlist nominations for Demand Logic and London’s Sustainable City Awards

Written by Demand Logic | Jun 26, 2018

Demand Logic is delighted to be shortlisted for all three applied for categories at London’s Sustainable City Awards 2018 out of five in total. The Cleantech Internet of Things business is in the running to scoop the top prize in Innovative Spaces, Smart Technology, and Managing Resources categories. Five finalists have been shortlisted for each award, which will be presented on 12th July at a ceremony hosted by London Sustainability Exchange at The Crystal by Siemens.

The Sustainable City Awards celebrate the best in innovation and good practise, recognising businesses promoting environmental management and sustainable leadership working and towards a smarter, healthier, and more environmentally friendly world. The prestigious Sir Peter Parker Award will also be announced on the night, to recognise a business that have successfully set new standards of innovation, performance and environmental leadership.

Commenting on their shortlisting, Chairman Sonny Masero said:

“This is fantastic news. We are big fans of the Sustainable City awards as this recognition of best practice is key to developing a low carbon economy in which our tech is firmly rooted. To be recognised like this for our positive environmental impact in our home city is a reward in itself but of course we hope to achieve more. Cities are continuously challenged in truly adopting sustainable practices and behaviours particularly when the majority of the commercial building stock is already here. Our tech simplifies how you can reduce energy costs, lower carbon levels and improve office environments within days of installation. We are looking forward to meeting other like-minded businesses at the ceremony in July.”

Demand Logic have scored three awards in the past 12 months alone, including BCIA’s Technology of the Year award, and BusinessGreen’s Building Technology of the Year 2017. The award-winning technology has been recognised as a leading smart technology, used across more than 16 million square foot of property by customers including Transport for London, LandSec and The Crown Estate.

Demand Logic’s service offers building and facility managers access to detailed property performance information, proven to reduce maintenance times and improve effectiveness, reduce comfort complaints, and cut energy costs by up to 30%. For our customers, Demand Logic has identified reductions of 40,000 tonnes CO2 and is savings 17,000 tonnes CO2 a year already.
