‘We are delivering energy savings, comfort improvements and maintenance efficiency in commercial buildings’, says Mike Darby, our CEO and Co-Founder in our customer case study film. The new video, created and produced by Innovate UK as part of its Future Energy Management of Buildings programme, has captured the key benefits of our Data Acquisition Device platform to optimise building performance through interviews with our key clients.

Land Sec, The Crown Estate and TH Real Estate feature throughout as they explain, from a customer’s point of view, how our ‘fitbit’ for buildings has delivered savings and energy efficiencies throughout a differing style of properties. The film conveys the dynamic, complex nature of building operations and facilities management, with numerous terminal units to monitor and maintain, in order to guarantee the optimum running of a building.

Jane Wakiwaka, Sustainability Manager, The Crown Estate, starts the interviews:

“It’s about doing a health check on your building, gathering lots of data, analysing it quickly and presenting in a way that’s really easy to understand.”

Neil Pennell, Head of Engineering and Design from Land Sec, explains how they have rolled out the system across a dozen of their landmark buildings, equivalent to over 2 million square foot of real estate, resulting in energy savings of between 10- 15% a year.

He says: “In addition, I think it is important not to forget the improvement in operation conditions in the space which also follow.”

Abigail Dean, Head of Sustainability at TH Real Estate, explains how the Demand Logic platform accelerated and improved the commissioning process of the Steward building to ensure it was delivering the levels of energy efficiency that was expected.

Abigail comments:

“It has been very beneficial to the property management team, it enables us to ensure that our buildings are optimised in terms of their energy efficiency, but also to deliver health and well-being to the occupants.”

Already installed in over 80 buildings throughout the UK, the short film shows how the platform presents a significant opportunity to save huge amounts on building running costs, through it real-time data monitoring, swift analysis and user-friendly visual interface.

To close the film, Mike returns to sum up:

“There is no reason why we cannot become the defacto technology used to manage commercial buildings.”
